Pedal Commander Coupons & Promo Codes - November 30, 2023
Pedal Commander is an innovative device designed to enhance the performance of a vehicle’s throttle response. The device is plug-and-play, which means that it’s easy to install and can be used with almost any vehicle that has an electronic throttle control system. With the Pedal Commander, drivers can enjoy a more responsive driving experience, whether they’re on the highway or in the city.
The device works by modifying the electronic signals that are sent from the accelerator pedal to the vehicle’s engine control unit (ECU). When a driver presses the accelerator pedal, the ECU receives a signal that tells it to increase the engine’s power output. However, this process can be slow and unresponsive, especially if the vehicle is carrying a heavy load or driving up a hill.
The Pedal Commander works by intercepting the signal sent from the accelerator pedal and modifying it before it reaches the ECU. The device allows drivers to select from four different modes – Eco, City, Sport, and Sport+ – each with its own unique characteristics.
In Eco mode, the Pedal Commander reduces the vehicle’s throttle response, making it less sensitive to the driver’s input. This can improve fuel efficiency, and the manufacturer claims that drivers can see up to a 20% increase in fuel economy compared to the stock setting. However, it’s worth noting that Eco mode is not active when the vehicle is in cruise control.
City mode provides a more active throttle response, which can help drivers navigate busy city streets more easily. This mode is designed to provide a smoother driving experience, with less lag between the driver’s input and the vehicle’s response.
Sport mode is the most dynamic setting, with a faster response time than the stock setting. This mode is best suited for drivers who enjoy more spirited driving, as it allows the vehicle to accelerate more quickly and aggressively.
Finally, Sport+ mode is the most extreme setting, with the fastest response time available. This mode is ideal for racing or track driving, as it provides the most aggressive throttle response.
Pedal Commander devices can be controlled using a mobile app, which allows drivers to adjust the device’s sensitivity levels and switch between modes easily. There are also buttons located directly on the device that allow drivers to adjust the sensitivity on the fly.
One of the key benefits of the Pedal Commander is that it’s easy to install and use. The device plugs directly into the vehicle’s OBD-II port, which is typically located under the dashboard. Once installed, the device is ready to use, and drivers can start enjoying a more responsive driving experience right away.
Pedal Commander devices are also designed to be durable and long-lasting. The device is made from high-quality materials and is designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the road. The manufacturer offers a two-year warranty on all devices, giving drivers added peace of mind.
In addition to the Pedal Commander device, the manufacturer also offers a range of accessories, including mounting brackets and extension cables. These accessories can help drivers install the device in hard-to-reach locations or ensure that it stays securely in place while driving.
Overall, the Pedal Commander is an innovative device that can help drivers enjoy a more responsive driving experience. The device is easy to install and use, and it’s designed to be durable and long-lasting. Whether you’re looking to improve fuel efficiency or enjoy more spirited driving, the Pedal Commander is a great choice for anyone looking to enhance their vehicle’s throttle response.

Pedal Commander Reviews
“I was about to return this PC because when I installed it and turn on truck I saw a bunch of codes and check engine light on dashboard. So I panic and put it original back. I still was getting 1 check engine light with original set up. After doing some research I found a ford raptor forum that talk about relearning the pedal by doing a quick pedal programming step on the raptor no tools needed. All I had to do is turn on Ignition with out turning on engine and slowly step on pedal all the way to floor and quickly release pedal and turn off ignition. Repeat this step 3 times and turn on truck and it was like nothing bad had happened. I didn’t want to give up on because I seen some good reviews on 2nd gen raptor so I knew I had to work. I like the feeling of the truck no lag truck feels way lighter and more responsive. Gears seem to be more on point and quicker to downshift. Been using it for a fee days no issues yet.”
“In the interests of full disclosure, it should be noted that I purchased the Pedal Commander (“P.C.”) directly from pedalcommander.com. Given the company is within reasonable driving time from our home, I thought it was a safe bet buying directly from the company. I had a few questions about the P.C. and subsequently had a web chat session with Larry, their sales manager. I told Larry that I was considering the PedalMAX, but learned “PedalMAX is made in China, whereas the P.C. is made in the USA.” I don’t know about you, but I’m growing tired of buying Chinese-made products! Minutes following my web chat session with Larry, I pulled the trigger and made the purchase. The P.C. arrived within 24-hrs. of my consummating the order. Larry even offered to install the P.C. at no added cost; I politely declined, yet I reserved the offer just in case. Larry even tossed in a pretty cool t-shirt, although it appears the t-shirt is part of the purchase. In all, customer service certainly exceeded my expectations.
For starters, the P.C. in no way increases H.P. For some reason, naysayers are of the impression these types of devices increase HP. Nope. What it accomplishes, though (and does so flawlessly), is thr elimination of lag time from when the pedal is depressed…throttle response is noticeably abrupt and our Flex now jumps off the line! Merging onto the freeway, and passing cars from lane-to-lane, is an absolute enjoyment. It took me 20-mins. of trial and error to determine that “Sport Mode +3” yielded a whole new degree of driving agility. I’m very much impressed with the Flex’s (new and) improved driving characteristics.
The device itself, while diminutive in nature, has a good feel to it, and the control module’s buttons are responsive to touch. Once I figured out how to remove the accelerator’s OEM’s connector, total install time took less than 2-mins.
I thought the K&N C.A.I. (which, incidentally, added 13 H.P. to the engine, now for a total 300 H.P.) gave our naturally aspirated V-6 new life, but the obvious performance gain (again, not in terms of H.P.) with the P.C. was well worth the investment. Next, is the installation of the Livernois tuner kit. The folks at Livernois tell me, “you’ll see gains of over 31 H.P. and torque will increase by 44 ft.-lbs.” At this point, we’re at Ecoboost levels, but at a fraction of the cost. Pavlovian!
PART I Update (3/7/17): folks, the P.C. is no joke. If one really did not know how to “drive,” I can see, given the abrupt boost in acceleration and torque (most profound at 3200 RPM), how easy it would be for one to lose control of their car. Our Flex, which has 20″ performance tires, now drives like a sports car. I know what you’re thinking, “What, a Flex driving like a sports car? Yeah right!” Quite honestly, the P.C. (in tandem with the K&N C.A.I.) have unlocked the V-6’s true potential. I really am having a blast driving the Flex around town.
And now, I really can’t wait to install the Livernois tuner kit. Another thing on my wish list is the addition of a MagnaFlow exhaust kit.
PART II: according to the on-board computer, baseline MPG declined by 1.23 using the P.C. This baseline decline may be attributed to the thrill of pushing the envelope and establishing the initial device settings. With the next fill up, I will report back MPGs. However, the Flex’s current config is still +3.77 MPG over the stock engine.”
“This review is based on my use of this with a 2016 F150 XLT 4×4 with the 5.0 V8. First of all, it is very easy to install. However, when you’re taking the wire harness off the truck’s pedal controller, there’s a tab that you lift up first, then a tab inside the connector that you push inward (sideways) then lift off the controller. Knowing that first will reduce some frustration. Anyway, on to the review:
To establish a baseline, my truck does have a performance tune from More Power Tuning’s SCT+ tuner. It’s got a catback custom off road exhaust where I used two Magnaflow mufflers in line. It’s quiet, meaning you can’t really hear it idling, but if you get on the pedal it sounds like a truck. It has a CAI from S&B. Everything else performance wise is stock.
I ran the cable in between the dash and steering column for a neat, clean look. First start out of the garage, I decided to go for the gusto with Sport+4. I didn’t think think this controller was going to make a huge difference. Boy, was I wrong! With the first step on the gas I realized that I was probably going to be turning it down a bit. If you have this truck, you know it has “Sport” mode on the shifter. This Pedal Commander unit totally replaces that button on the shifter. Its not that you can’t use it, but it’s overkill to the point of impeding drivability. I will likely reserve the truck’s stock sport mode to when the Pedal Commander is turned off. In other words, when my wife drives the truck 😉 This unit makes the truck quicker due to no lag in the throttle response,Which is essentially what the truck’s stock sport mode does, only this unit can do it much more aggressively or much less aggressively, depending on how you set it up. I find that for me, the Pedal Commander sport mode (vs sport+) makes for more controlability. Probably Sport level 2-4 for most driving. For congested driving, I’d definitely turn it down to “City” or just off altogether (Wife mode). I like the fact that you can switch it up on the fly, unlike my performance tune. I haven’t had much time other than that to horse around with it, but I can see this thing being a whole lot of fun! Here’s a picture of my install.
Update after about a month : I still love this gadget. Was even thinking of getting one for my work truck, but $300 is a little steep. I find though that for the best control (power vs drivabilty) the Sport mode level 2 is best all around. I have stock tires though. With bigger tires, you might kick it up a notch or two past that. Also just as cool is that if you actually can manage to not have a lead foot (tough, i know) you can use this thing to save gas quite a bit because you just barely have to touch the pedal to get going. I can’t imagine not having this thing now. It’s a ton of fun!”
“Wow – this module is as advertised. Ive installed it on a 2013 Raptor, so its not that I was lacking punch, but this just lets the fun factor go through the roof. The Sport+ setting is just not feasible as its just waaaay too much for me on this truck BUT the sport series of settings really livens the truck up just that much more. They should rename it SMILE COMMANDER because theres no way it won’t put a smile on your face.
I was actually thinking of returning it because for $300 how much do I really need it until I played around with the settings. That little extra punch is so much fun and what I am really looking forward to is the bad weather conditions and using the ECO Settings to see if that will help tame the truck down in bad weather. It sure does in the dry weather.
Install? People were saying 5 – 10 minutes, yeah! – if you take your absolute sweet time. It’s literally unplug one connector and plug 2 in. 60 seconds max! You’ll spend most your time on how to route it so it fits neatly on the dash and/or around your steering wheel. If you’re a set it and forget it type, then you can velcro it up under the steering column out of the way completely too.
Update 10/16: Used ECO mode today all day and it took a 400+ HP V8 Truck and made it feel like a 4 Cylinder. I can definitely feel it tame the motor’s acceleration. You do have to adjust to how it drives as it wont have the punch but for driving around town in traffic especially stop and go – its terrific for gas mileage.”
“As a F150 FX4 owner, ive done a lot to customize. My goal was to create the sportiest look I could for my truck/sports car. I have a 2016 with the 5.0 ltr mustang engine (my favorite and one of the highest rated engines to own)
My truck does 0 to 60 in 5.6 seconds off of the lot. I customized my baby to be the only F150 FX4 with the 5.0 ltr Coyote V8 emblems/look etc as the 5.0 ltr Coyote V8 Mustang. The engines are the same (I made sure to match the ‘stang!!)
Anyways, what I finally want to say is this…. out of all the $$ I have spent customizing…. the $299 I laid down for The Pedal Commander is the best INVESTMENT I made in my truck. I was skeptical at first, take it from me… DONT BE!! WHETHER ITS A FORD. CHEVY ETC… YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT THE PEDAL COMMANDER DOES.
It gives you 36 different settings for your vehicles tune. It doesnt mess with your warranty because it plugs right into your accelerator and then the commander plug goes to the engine. Its not an actual tune kit. It opens up every bit of power your engine has or tames it right down in eco mode for you if you want to add a few more miles to the gallon on trips.
4 modes ECO CITY SPORT SPORT+ and then 4 different settings for each one. It says you should only use SPORT + for racing. LMBO, I agree…. after owning one… best $300 ever. It’s so easy to install a 10 yr old could do it in 5 minutes flat!! Seriously, that happened and is true!!”
“This is extremely easy to install. I over complicated it. Just take female plug out of the gas pedal. Plug the female part of the Pedal Master into the gas pedal and then plug the old female plug of the gas pedal, and plug it into the male plug on the Pedal Master. It is amazing that it just controls the pedal. It really feels like a tune. I drive on City 3 while I am driving around town and I am getting about 12.5 MPG. The Sport Plus 4 mode is unreal. It will scare you at first. You really have to feather the pedal until you are ready to slam it. I can not see how the Torque and Horsepower are not effected because the truck feels like a damn beast. This will be the best 200-300 dollars you ever spent on a car and I just traded in my 2016 M3 that was a Dinan Stage 3. With the Raptor and the Pedal Master, really nothing else is needed. If you dont mind voiding the warranty then of course you can do a ton. But for a product that doesn’t void the warranty, it is an amazing device. I just put the wire threw the adjustable steering wheel and mounted it on the right hand side of the steering wheel. Very discreet and easy to get to. I know a lot of the Raptor guys like it on the opposite side, but I feel where I mounted it, is the easiest place to adjust the settings while driving.”
“”So I was very hesitant on purchasing this because one of the bad reviews on here but I decided to give it a try because as much as I want a tuner I don’t want to void my warranty. I have a 2019 Ford Raptor and let me tell you!!! This thing is amazing!!!! Installation is simple as it gets, the throttle response is crazy and almost hard to wrap my mind around. You’re not getting any more power or turbo boost, it’s just throttle response but I’m telling you it feels like I have a crazy tune on my truck! Maybe it’s magic I don’t know but I love it! I have only tried the sport and sport plus modes, I have a raptor so I care nothing for the economy and city modes lol. Sport plus is too much, the sensitivity is crazy I can barely touch my pedal and it’s throwing me in the seat! I have it in sport with with positive adjustment at 2. I highly recommend this if you are like me and want more out of you vehicle but don’t want to void your warranty with a tuner!”
“Hesitate about getting one after reading issues, but have had it for a week now and as long as you follow the instructions – it’s a must have! Installed on my 19’ tuned Raptor and completely woke it up. Feels like another truck now. I usually don’t post items, but for $299, I would definitely put this into a great buy and must have category for modifications. Took me about 25 minutes to install (20 min of wait time just to be extra cautious). Don’t wait or continue watching videos as I did, just get it! App works great also, so I decided to mount out of site as seen in the picture. I’ll update if anything changes.”
