HEALTHY FROZEN YOGURT COVERED BLUEBERRIES
Healthy frozen yogurt covered blueberries – Your finicky eater and mine will both grow to adore it. We’re going to blend a common fruit, the blueberry, with some delectable yogurt and freeze it to make it as ice cream-like as possible. Let’s begin, then!
Healthy frozen yogurt covered blueberries Ingredients
- Blueberries
- Greek yogurt in whatever flavor you prefer.
- Wax paper or parchment
- Sheet of cookies
- Toothpicks
Instructions
- Blueberries should first be washed in a strainer to remove any stems.
- Place the yogurt in a bowl and cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Then, using a toothpick, poke a blueberry with it, and then dip it in the yogurt. Greek yogurt is the best option because it is thicker. Greek yogurt will stand the test of time and provide your blueberries with greater coverage while regular yogurt tends to become extremely watery and runny over time.
- I discovered that the “swirl” method was the most effective for completely coating the blueberries after about 25. I tried to simply dip it, but it didn’t cover it enough. Continue to swirl!
- After admiring your pretty blueberry, begin arranging them on the parchment-lined cookie sheet.
- My toddler won’t care that these covered blueberries don’t look the best, as you can see. I’ll be content if she eats them. You can take your time and make them cute if you want. Since I had to use a smaller cookie sheet to fit in my tiny freezer, this took me about 15-20 minutes, and I only dipped about half of the blueberries. Place the filled cookie sheets in the freezer for at least an hour to firm them up.
- Take a few out of the freezer once they have frozen and try them. I assume you want to ensure their safety. Put it in a bowl and eat right away, or put it in a freezer-safe container and freeze until you’re ready to eat.
