Air Fryer BBQ Chicken Wrapped in Bacon
Air Fryer BBQ Chicken that tastes delicious and is prepared in ten minutes? What if we wrap the chicken with bacon and then top it with some brown sugar?

Air Fryer BBQ Chicken Ingredients
- You can use chicken tenders in place of boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

- The brand of barbecue sauce you prefer. This BBQ sauce is good. Try my homemade barbecue sauce, which only requires three ingredients and is our favorite brand.
- I used light brown sugar, but if dark brown sugar is what you have on hand, you may substitute that.
- I like to use my homemade salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning blend. Salt and pepper to taste
- Step 1: Cut the boneless chicken breasts into strips and prepare the chicken. To make cleanup simpler, I prefer to place my raw meat and chicken on parchment baking sheets. Additionally, it aids in keeping surfaces germ-free and sanitary.
Divide the bacon into half. The chicken strips I cut couldn’t fit through one full bacon slice. Keep in mind that we are making “bites” of chicken. Place each piece of chicken on a clean plate and wrap a half of a bacon slice around it.
I’ve made this recipe twice, and neither time did I need toothpicks to keep the bacon in place.
- Step 2: Add the Barbecue Sauce The best way to add the barbecue sauce is to coat the chicken with it with a pastry brush.
Brush the other side of the chicken with the barbecue sauce after turning it over.
You can use my Seasoning Salt Blend or sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper at this point in the cooking process.
- Step 3: Add the Brown Sugar At this point, add the brown sugar.
If you’re trying to cut back on sugar, you don’t really need to add brown sugar, but I think a little bit enhances the flavor.The entire recipe calls for just 2 tablespoons.

Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray and place the chicken in it.Close the tray and bake for five minutes in the preheated air fryer at 400 degrees.
Flip the chicken pieces after opening the air fryer.
Cook the chicken for the remaining 5 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees, before closing the air fryer.
