Chocolate Chip Cookies Ingredients

Chocolate Chip Cookies are a classic for a reason. They are the perfectly chewey, chocolatey, ooey gooey, answer to those intense sweet tooth cravings. #chocolate #cookies #chocolatechipcookies

  • 3/4 cup of flour
  • cornstarch, 3 tablespoons
  • 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and baking soda
  • 12 cup cold butter (often, 1 stick equals 1/2 cup)
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar, granulated
  • Brown sugar, 6 teaspoons
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips in one bag. 10 to 11 ounces (or half a bag if you want less chocolate)
  • 14 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a smaller mixing bowl, combine the flour, corn starch, salt, and baking soda. Cut the stick of butter into smaller pieces (as shown in the video). In a larger mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Gently stir the dry ingredients (flour, corn starch, salt, etc.).
  2. Preheat the oven to 475 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent them from sticking. As shown in the video, combine the butter, eggs, and sugar in a larger bowl. Add chocolate chips and optional walnuts. Blend tenderly until completely joined
  3. Utilizing a standard spoon (tablespoon), make treat mixture balls and put them on the baking sheet
  4. Prepare for 6-7 minutes or until the highest points of the treats get brilliant/brown (watch out for them:)
  5. Let them cool after being removed from the oven. They’ll keep cooking inside as they cool. For the softest cookies, eat them warm and not completely cooled.

TIP: To make VERY LARGE cookies, use 2 tablespoon scoops to make cookie dough balls twice as large and bake the cookies for 9 to 10 minutes. If made larger, yields 9 cookies.
