Honey Mustard Chicken

  1. The chicken should be seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides; put away.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for four to five minutes on each side, turning once, until golden brown on both sides. Golden brown is sufficient for the chicken to be cooked through. Transfer to a plate lined with parchment.
  3. Add the vegetable broth to deglaze the pan and reduce the heat to medium. After that, stir in the honey, Dijon mustard, and whole grain mustard to combine.
  4. Carry combination to a low bubble, then, at that point, add the chicken to the sauce and keep cooking, revealed. Approximately 10 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and the sauce has thickened, stir the sauce occasionally.
  5. Serve with your preferred side dish after resting for a few minutes.

Tips

  • The chicken should be pounded to the same width. This will make it possible for the chicken breast to cook in the pan evenly and reduce the likelihood that the outside will become dry while the center continues to cook.
  • Don’t use honey mustard in place of the honey and the mustard. Although it sounds delicious and appears to be the same, honey is the only component that produces a caramelization on the pan that is difficult to achieve with honey mustard.
  • While the sauce is getting thicker, baste the chicken. By doing this, the chicken is able to absorb the most honey mustard flavor possible while also avoiding the top of it drying out while the bottom is covered in the simmering sauce.
  • Prior to serving, give the chicken five minutes to rest. This enables the liquids to be evenly distributed, making your chicken delightfully moist and flavorful.
