Italian Grinder Salad Sandwich Ingredients
Grinder Salad
- 50 ml of mayonnaise
- 12 heads of finely chopped iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 red onion, finely sliced
- Sliced banana peppers, 1/3 cup
- Red wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 12 teaspoon salt
- pepper, as desired
Sandwich
- three sub rolls
- 1/4 pound each of salami, pepperoni, turkey, and provolone cheese.
- Sliced tomato, one
- grated 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the grinder salad first. In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Combine with a whisk.
- The lettuce, red onion, and banana peppers should then be added. Completely combine.
- Next, put the sandwiches together. The turkey, pepperoni, and salami should be spread out among the rolls. Place the meats on top of the cheese.
- Broil for two to three minutes, or until the meat is crisp and the cheese is melted.
- Take the sandwiches out of the oven. Sandwiches should be served with tomato slices. Add pepper and salt to taste.
- To each sandwich, add a generous amount of grinder salad. Sprinkle with parmesan.
- Cut the sandwiches in half, seal them, and enjoy!
