Keto & Low Carb Waffled Tuna Cakes Ingredients

Keto & Low Carb Waffled Tuna Cakes

  • 2 Cans Chunk Tuna
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tsp Minced Garlic
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Crushed pork rinds or gluten-free bread crumbs, 1/4 cup
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

Keto & Low Carb Waffled Tuna Cakes

  1. Add the tuna to a mixing bowl after removing the liquid. The egg, garlic, mayonnaise, lemon juice, bread crumbs or crushed pork rinds, onion powder, and salt and pepper should be added. Mix thoroughly to combine.
  2. Use the melted butter to coat the hot waffle iron after it has been preheated. Divide the tuna mixture into six portions and place one on each greased iron. Cook until brilliant Brown. Serve with Dill Pickle Dip and Lemon on the side.
  3. Six low-carb waffled tuna cakes are made with this recipe.

Notes

  • Almond or coconut flour can be used in place of the pork rinds if preferred. Just keep in mind that pork rinds have no carbs. The carb count will increase if you use flour instead.
  • Instead of using the waffle iron, the tuna cakes can be cooked in a frying pan or the oven.
  • Canned chicken, crab, or salmon can be substituted for the canned tuna.
