Sloppy Joe Casserole Ingredients

  • 100 grams of ground beef
  • 1 minced tiny onion1 chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 chopped garlic clove
  • Petite chopped tomatoes in a can (14.5 ounces)
  • Ketchup, 1 cup
  • Brown sugar, 1 tablespoon
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups frozen16-ounceernel corn
  • 1 (16 ounce) package penne pasta
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the oil to medium-high. In a hot skillet, cook the beef, onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and garlic for 5 to 7 minutes or until the beef is browned and crumbly. Grease should be drained and thrown away.
  3. Add mustard, brown sugar, tomatoes, ketchup, salt, and pepper to the ground beef mixture; Turn down the heat and simmer for about ten minutes until heated through.
  4. Heat a huge pot of delicately salted water to the point of boiling. Cook corn in the bubbling water until cooked through, around 5 minutes; drain.
  5. Bring a large pot of water with little salt to a boil; Add the penne and cook, stirring occasionally, for approximately 11 minutes until tender but still firm to the bite. Drain.
  6. Incorporate Colby-Jack cheese, pasta, and corn into the ground beef mixture; pour into a baking dish 9 by 13 inches.
  7. About 20 minutes in the preheated oven, bake until heated through and cheese is melted.
